Interpol announce deluxe Tenth Anniversary Edition of Turn On The Bright Lights

The New York band celebrates their trendsetting debut with (what else?) a deluxe edition.

Interpol helped inaugurate the post-punk revival with 2002’s Turn On The Bright Lights, establishing themselves as torch bearers for Joy Division et al. As is becoming customary, the album’s tenth anniversary will see a deluxe edition.

“We spent a good deal of time this past year digging through our archives and asking others to dig through theirs in the hopes of uncovering some forgotten material,” says Interpol’s Daniel Kessler. “We wanted to do something special for the fans who have always supported us. We wanted to do something special for the best fans in the world. We hope you enjoy it.”

The special edition of Turn On The Bright Lights is remastered and ships with a deluxe hardbound book full of unreleased photos. A second disc contains 17 bonus tracks, including previously unreleased songs, demos, and B-sides. Video content includes the music videos for ‘PDA,’ ‘NYC,’ and ‘Obstacle 1,’ along with live footage from concerts at New York’s Mercury Lounge and LA’s The Troubadour, from 2000 and 2002, respectively.

The album will be released on November 20 via Matador, available in double CD+DVD, double LP+DVD, and digital versions. Pre-orders come with a replica of the band’s first button. The annotated tracklist is below, via Pitchfork, along with the video for ‘NYC.’
