The re-united Columbus, Ohio crew teams up with Detroit’s resident headcase.

MHz Legacy (originally Megahertz) is comprised of Def Jux veterans Copywrite, RJD2, Jakki Da Motamouth, and Tage Future. “Legacy” was appended to their name after the passing of member Camu Tao. ‘Spaceship’ is a tribute to their fallen comrade, and reworks one of his lines into the song’s hook.

Harry Fraud’s beat is a paranoid trunk rattler, suiting both the old and the new schools of alternative hip-hop. Danny Brown wastes no time on the track, launching his nasal verse with “Rolling off the ecstasy / fucking with a raver chick / wave the dick in front of her face / like it’s a glow stick.”

MHz Legacy will release a self-titled album on October 30 via Man Bites Dog Records. Along with ‘Spaceship’ (which you can stream and download below), the album features appearances by rappers Blu, Slug, ILL BILL, Slaine, and Oh No; in-house producer RJD2 is joined by Marco Polo, Stu Bangas, Illmind, and others.
