As Ducktails, Matt Mondanile – also a member of Real Estate – found himself a poster boy of the chillwave / hypnagogic pop bandwagon of the tail end of the noughties. 

Now, Mondanile signs to indie staples Domino, also home of Real Estate, for the release of Ducktails’ fourth album, The Flower Life. Recorded and mixed in Summer (when else?) of this year, with Al Carlson, the album hosts contributions from New Jersey band Big Troubles, Joel ‘Airbird’ Ford and Daniel ‘Oneohtrix Point Never’ Lopatin, Cults’ Madeline Follin and Outer Limitz’ Sam Mehran.
