Perennial enigma Scott Walker is set to release a new album, Bish Bosch, through 4AD on December 3. It’s his first full-length since 2006’s The Drift.

A 4-minute trailer for Bish Bosch has now gone up on the album’s mini-site, bishbosch.com, as well as an extensive essay about the record by The Wire‘s Rob Young (author of Electric Eden and editor of the recent No Regrets: Writings On Scott Walker). Directed by Iain & Jane, the film captures Scott at work with his musicians and co-producer Peter Walsh, and uses extracts from new tracks ‘See You Don’t Bump His Head’, ‘Tar’, ‘Dimple’, ‘Corps De Blah’, ‘Phrasing’ and ‘Epizootics!’. There is also footage of Scott developing the album’s artwork with painter Ben Farquharson and designer Philip Laslett. Watch it below.
