Cosmic Records is to have its back catalogue remastered and reissued.
The label was formed by Sheree Rashit and Steve Bicknell, the team behind club-night Lost, in the early ’90s. In its time, it housed music by techno luminaries such as Mark Broom, hood-leaning fare by DJ Rush and DJ Deeon, and cuts from the label bosses themselves.
An email sent out today reveals that Lost will remaster and re-release the imprint’s back catalogue, with “more information” coming soon. There’s no word yet on whether the reissue program is on vinyl, or only digital – nor whether it’s going to be in the form of seperate singles or a compilation, though we’ve requested more information. Update: Press say that they’re 99% sure it’ll be vinyl and digital.
Lost will be hosting a party on November 24 in London, with a pretty special looking line-up: Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Kyle Hall, Mark Ernestus, Mark Ainsley, Tevo Howard and more play across three rooms. For more information on that, click here.
