Over a fuzzy bit of boom-bap, Earl (real name Thebe Neruda Kgositsile) “brushes some dirt up off his psyche,” rapping about his relationship with his parents, finding an older brother in Tyler, the Creator, and his reaction to Complex tracking him down (“you made my life harder”). As expected, Earl sounds more mature, both in voice and in lyrical content, and his undeniable skill with wordplay and storytelling has only gotten sharper.
