Soundgarden details deluxe edition of first new album in 16 years

The reunited alt-rockers will release King Animal on November 13.

Chris Cornell and company have returned with the familiar riff-and-howl formula that made them one of the defining band’s of Seattle’s grunge era. Their new album King Animal, in addition to CD and double 180-gram vinyl editions, will be released as a 12′ by 12′ deluxe package.

$100 buys you the vinyl double album, a 16-track CD with three demos, a DVD of the band’s recent Hyde Park performance, and five lithographs (adding a T-shirt brings the total to $120), according to Spin.

In addition, the band have announced three relatively-intimate club gigs in New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles. As Antiquiet reports, tickets go on sale to the public at 10AM local time on November 9, but those who pre-order the album from Soundgarden’s website will get a head-start on November 8.
