Kraftwerk bring <i>1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8</i> residency to Germany

Earlier this year, legendary circuit-breakers Kraftwerk announced a residency at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

Titled 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, it saw the group perform eight of their studio albums in full – one each night of the eight-date run – accompanied by 3D visualizations. Now, the group will take the residency to their hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany.

As Pitchfork report, the residency takes place at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen Museum on January 11-13 and 16-20. Each show will close on an additional selection of pieces from the Kraftwerk back catalogue. The group will be playing the following albums on the following dates:

Jan 12 Radio-Aktivität (1975)
Jan 13 Trans-Europe Express (1977)
Jan 16 Die Mensch-Maschine (1978)
Jan 17 Computerwelt (1981)
Jan 18 Techno Pop (1986)
Jan 19 The Mix (1991)
Jan 20 Tour de France Soundtracks (2003)

Kraftwerk are nominated for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame this year, along with N.W.A., Public Enemy, Donna Summer and more. Fans can vote for them here.
