Geiom returned this year with Black Screen, his first album in five years.

The album was a knotty and complex proposition, flitting between aliases (Joory’s Hem moniker is represented on a few tracks) and styles with impunity. Fans of Geiom’s 2007 LP Island Noise didn’t have to skip too far to find bass-weighted material, and there were IDM workouts and electro-indebted material tossed into the mix too. He’s also dropped another EP for Frijsfo Beats, the three-track Glesprin.

XLR8R now point towards a new Geiom cut, ‘Algo Riddim’. It’s a frazzled bit of UK funky – busy without being cluttered, and set off by the sort of exotic hook that gets you a free pass onto Keysound’s books. Click below to download.
