Killing Joke announce career-spanning singles collection, 2013 tour dates

The post-punk legends mark their 35th anniversary with a retrospective, a tour, and a new album.

The Singles Collection 1979-2012 is a 33-track compilation that features single, rarities, and previously unreleased studio tracks. It is due out on April 15 via Spinefarm/Universal. The band will also embark on a world tour in 2013, with plans for a new studio album by the end of 2013.

Earlier this year, frontman Jaz Coleman was found living a “nomadic existence” in the Western Sahara to focus on a handful of creative ventures. Meanwhile, Killing Joke released a three-disc dub compilation.

Of the band’s 2013 plans, Coleman says (via statement): “Considering it’s supposed to be the end of the world in a short time, it gives me great pleasure to announce a new singles album with some real rarities on it, shortly followed by a new studio recording. The book ‘Letters From Cythera’ is coming out, and yes, gigs are starting in March.” The video for ‘Letters From Cythera’ is below, followed by the tour dates.
