Hip-hop veteran Common, it seems, has 2013 all planned out

In the wake of 2011’s The Dreamer/The Believer – touted by many as a return to form after 2008’s widely panned Universal Mind Control – Common’s had a quiet year, restricting himself to sporadic appearances on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer and Game’s Jesus Piece. 2013 looks to be a different story, however, with three separate releases in the pipeline.

As Exclaim report, Common used an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to trail a host of projects. According to the rapper, an EP will arrive in January to supplement his new film LUV. The EP will be followed by a mixtape in April, which he described as the “first mixtape I ever done in my  life”. A full-length – the rapper’s tenth – will also arrive in September.
