New York newbie Branchez chops up Stalley and Rick Ross’ ‘Hell’s Angels’

New York youngblood Branchez has remixed Ohio rapper Stalley, with bouncy results.

Branchez belongs firmly in the same heavily populated camp as Flosstradamus and R.L. Grime, but he’s distinguished himself somewhat with the occasional quirky choice – check the residual traces of piano hardcore on recent Soundcloud freebies ’Shake’ and ‘Treat Your Right’. His recent Branchez Vol. 1 tape also managed to tread the thin line between ebullient and goofy with some panache.

Branchez’s new remix of Stalley and Rick Ross’ ‘Hell’s Angels’ strikes a similarly fine balance. There’s not exactly a paucity of this sort of stuff around at present, but Branchez borrows from the best, combining Baauer’s elasticity with Mele’s sense of play. Hell, he even makes Stalley, Maybach Music Group’s perennial reserve team player, sound like a world-beater. [via Pigeons And Planes]
