The song appears on the Leaving Records / Stones Throw partnership compilation Dual Form.

Dual Form was first released in November as a dual-cassette, to mark the distribution partnership between Stones Throw and Leaving Records. The latter was co-founded by Brainfeeder beatsmith Matthewdavid and visual director Jesselisa Moretti in 2009.

With the vinyl / CD / digital release of Dual Form scheduled for January 22 comes Julia Holter’s contribution to the compilation: a live recording of a cover of Arthur Russell’s ‘You and Me Both’. The original was a moody synth-pop track and appeared on the posthumous 2004 album Calling Out of Context. Holter’s version is stripped bare to vocals, piano, and a healthy dose of audience ambience; she tweets that it was “recorded by Matthew David at [Los Angeles club] the Echo back in the day.”
