If the whole Destiny’s Child thing is a bit lightweight for you, here’s a reformation that might be of interest.

As NME report, legendary California hardcore unit Black Flag are set to reform for a major UK show. The band will perform at Kent’s Hevy Fest with their Ron Reyes-fronted 1979-1980 line-up, as heard on the Jealous Again EP.

Reyes joined the band in place of original singer Keith Morris, and was later replaced by Dez Cadena (subsequently swapped for the band’s most iconic frontman, Henry Rollins). The Hevy date will mark the band’s first UK show in over 30 years, and will be their only 2013 performance on these shores.

Formed in 1976, Black Flag released a series of all-time classic hardcore discs – most notably debut LP Damaged – before disbanding in 1986. The group subsequently reunited with Cadena for a host of reunion shows in 2003.

Hevy Fest runs from August 2-4 at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent. Tickets and further information are available here.
