Skrillex has been added to the bill for Sonar 2013.

The Barcelona-based festival has been steadily releasing names for its 2013 edition for some months now, with Nicolas Jaar, Kraftwerk, The Pet Shop Boys and Karenn all confirmed, but Skrillex marks one of the biggest yet. Real name Sonny Moore, Skrillex has become synonymous with dubstep in the US since 2010, when he packed in a promising career as a vocalist (he’d previously been part of post-hardcore band From First to Last) for dance music, and currently enjoys infamy as one of the most divisive characters in dance music. He’ll be performing on Friday, June 14 as part of Sonar by Night.
