The New York underground phenom sits down for a “Headphone Highlights” mix.

In FACT’s interview last year, Mykki Blanco named Iggy Pop, Vaginal Creme Davis, Beyonce, GG Allin, Marilyn Manson, Eminem, Missy Elliott, and Fiona Apple as influences.

Some of those names and many more appear on Blanco’s Headphone Highlights mix for RBMA Radio. Blanco picks a diverse tracklist that includes Mystikal, Tricky, The Gravediggaz, Björk, DJ Rashad, and Supreme Cuts, among others, musing on their personal significance. Plenty of highlights from Blanco’s Cosmic Angel: The Illuminati Prince/ss are included, for good measure.

Mykki Blanco is currently in the midst of a European tour. S/he has plans for a North American tour to follow, with the Betty Rubble: The Initation EP due out in March. More details are expected on both fronts soon.
