Brainfeeder’s stable has made room for lush fusion jazz and glitchy esoterica, and Chicago-based producer Miguel Baptista Benedict definitely belongs to the latter camp.

His work, often beatless, is strung together using lo-fi electronic equipment and a guitar, and offers a strange combination of charred drone, shoegaze and brutal machine music in the mould of Ben Frost. Releases have previously arrived on Skrot Up (as M/B/B) and BARO Records, and he also curates the notitrecordings label/crew/webspace. Although Baptista Benedict signed with Brainfeeder back in 2010, he’s finally about to drop his first LP for the label.

Super(b)-Child-Ran, originally mooted for release in late 2012, will arrive on the label next week. No further details have been released at present, but new track ‘Dad’s Ang[e]r[y] Prob[l]e[m]’, presumably taken from the album, is available to stream below. [via Potholes In My Blog]
