German festival Melt! has announced the first wave of names for its 2013 edition.

The big coup is The Knife, who will play their only 2013 festival date in the wake of comeback LP Shaking The Habitual. Expect theatricality, gothic pomp, and long, long songs. James Blake – another act returning with an eagerly awaited album in 2013 – will showcase his instantly recognisable brand of  bruised digital soul. As per previous years, Modeselektor will curate their own Melt!Selektor stage, and Flying Lotus will also be making the trip.

Azealia Banks will play her only German date of the year, and Karenn will cart along their wheelbarrow of fancy analogue kit. Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum will team up as JETS, Ben UFO will appear, and SBTRKT will be on DJ duty. Further confirmed acts include: Mount Kimbie, Fantastic Mr Fox, Zebra Katz, Disclosure, DJ Koze, Todd Terje & Lindstrom, M.A.N.D.Y, Alt-J, Chvrches, Bambounou and Mykki Blanco.

Melt! runs from July 19-21 at Ferropolis, Germany. Head here for tickets and further information.
