Listen to a rare Thomas Bangalter live set

A recording of Bangalter’s 2000 Winter Music Conference performance surfaces online.

Over at The Daft Club fansite, a user has posted a 25-minute set purportedly by the Daft Punk member. While we’re not sure of its authenticity, it certainly sounds like Bangalter, and commenters point to its similarity to sets he was assembling at the time.

Listen to the hyperactive mix below; the tracklist follows. A highlight is the sequence where Bangalter moves seamlessly between Moody Man, Parris Mitchell, New Order, and Michael Jackson.

1. Phunky Data- Hard Night
2. Pete Heller- Big Love
3. Trankilou- Champange
4. Mike Delegado- Byrds Mans Revenge
5. K-Dope- Five Oh Fantasy
6. Moody Man- You Can Dance if you want to
7. Parris Mitchell- Ghetto Shoutout!!
8. New Order- Blue Monday
9. Michael Jackson- Off The Wall
10. Alan Braxe- Vertigo (Virgo Mix)
