Brian Wilson to teach at Las Vegas 'Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp'

“Please, Mr. Wilson…”

For those who failed to catch the reunited Beach Boys before the inevitable fallout, here’s a chance to experience Brian Wilson in unusually close proximity. According to NME, Wilson has signed up as a teacher at a rock’n’roll workshop in Las Vegas. The self-styled “camp” will take place at gambler’s Mecca MGM Grand Hotel & Casino from April 18-21. Wilson will offer delegates personalised songwriting advice, and will perform a small-scale gig for students. Jeff Beck will also oversee “1-on-1” guitar lessons, with promising graduates having the chance to perform at the casino’s Rouge Lounge.

As expected, the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp isn’t cheap: prices start at $2,500, with the full package retailing at an eye-watering $6,499. Other courses are also scheduled to take place at the casino: Sammy Hagar and Steve Vai will oversee the Camp on March 5-9, whereas Def Leppard will play pedagogue on April 4-7.

Head to the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp website for more information. A FACT Fantasy Camp will also take place this Summer at the Holiday Inn Rotherham, featuring a keynote talk from Danny Native and intensive one-on-one tea preparation workshops with our editorial staff.
