Detroit youngster Kyle Hall announces debut album, The Boat Party

Detroit youngster Kyle Hall will release his debut album, The Boat Party, in April.

Kyle Hall first emerged in 2007, with a debut single on Omar-S’s FXHE label – though if we’re honest, what really caught our eye were those videos of him making beats in the school corridor. Releases for Hyperdub, Third Ear and his own Wild Oats label followed – as well as collaborations with peers in the UK (Funkineven) and elders in Detroit (Antony ‘Shake’ Shakir) alike.

Described as a “fusion of original work, sample tracks, and raw edits”, The Boat Party will arrive in mid-April on double-LP through Hall’s own Wild Oats label [via Juno].
