Ghetto-tech legend DJ Godfather collaborating with Dizzee Rascal

Generally speaking, our Twitter timeline is Juicy J’s endless live innovations, fake football managers and Don’t Read Comments, but every now and then it throws up something useful.

This weekend, ghetto-tech hero DJ Godfather posted that he was mastering a new track that he’d made with grime success story Dizzee Rascal. We already knew that Dizzee’s as-yet-untitled fifth album will feature production from Ibiza titan Erick Morillo, Calvin Harris and Cypress Hill co-founder turned dubstep try-hard DJ Muggs, but Godfather, one of Detroit’s favourite sons since the mid-’90s, should add a touch of class. Or, given his taste for strippers when he performs, maybe that should be ass.

Godfather describes the track as “Straight heat! Detroit ghetto tech meets trap meets London, England!”, so take that for what you will. Stream Godfather’s ‘Player Haters in this House’ below.
