After last year’s unexpected collaboration, ambient pioneers The Orb are set to release a second album of tracks produced with dub Godfather Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry.

More Tales from the Orbservatory is set to appear on June 3 on Cooking Vinyl, and will find the current Orb duo of Alex Patterson and Thomas Fehlmann return to the fray once more. Culled from the same Berlin sessions as The Orbserver in the Starhouse, Fehlmann have also added a selection of new instrumentals to shake things up a little.

In more Orb-related news, the duo are due to perform first two albums, The Orb’s Adventures Beyond Ultraworld and UFOrb, in their entirety at London’s Electric Brixton. A warm up for the duo’s 25th anniversary this should prove to be a rare treat for fans who pine for the older, simpler jams of yore.
