Seven years after the departure of Cut Chemist, the original Jurassic 5 line-up are roaring back into action. 

The California hip-hop crew, consisting of Cut Chemist, Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir and Mark 7even, emerged with 1998’s self-titled debut LP, a cheery collection of good-time pass-the-mic hip-hop. Subsequent LPs – 2000’s Quality Control, 2002’s Power In Numbers and, to a lesser degree, 2006’s Feedback – also proved successful, with the group achieving some level of penetration with folks who wouldn’t normally identify themselves as rap fans.

The full original line-up will reconvene for three UK dates this Summer. Between June 10 and June 13, the crew will touch down in Glasgow, Birmingham and London – full dates are below. Jurassic 5 will also play this year’s Parklife Festival in Manchester and Coachella Festival in the US.
