With new album More Light just around the corner rawk revivalists Primal Scream have leaked their brand new single ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’

Produced by the ever-reliable David Holmes, it’s clear from the outset that his unmistakable sonic signature is going to play more than just a bit part on the record. Guitars are woven through a tangle of effects and harmonium drones, and the drums sound like they were recorded only with the intention of Holmes wanting to sample them later on.

While the track is still very much Primal Scream, with Bobby Gillespie’s familiar whine leading us through the record with ease, it almost comes across like Spiritualized via Sergeant Pepper-era Beatles, and that can’t be a bad thing. [via Clash]
