Queens of the Stone Age schedule June release for new album

The stoner rock gods will release the follow-up to 2007’s Era Vulgaris in June.

Queens of the Stone Age’s website has been updated with a June release date. To hear tantalizingly brief clips from the album, which Antiquiet reports is entitled …Like Clockwork, click the “Q” and reload the page for a new clip.

Apart from a series of cryptic messages, all we know about the album is its impressive list of guests: Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Mark Lanegan, Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, Nick Oliveri, and — most surprisingly — Elton John.

Update: In addition, the band has signed to Matador Records after four albums on Interscope. [via Consequence of Sound]
