We don’t often cater for fans of Gallic electro-pop and Minority Report. But here’s something to unite both camps.

As reported, Anthony ‘M83’ Gonzalez has been recruited to add some stardust to the soundtrack for Tom Cruise vehicle Oblivion. The OST sees Gonzalez team up with TRON: Uprising composer Joseph Trapanese; as demonstrated on promo track ‘StarWaves’, synth-heavy bombast is the order of the day.

As Pitchfork note, the title track is now available to stream in full. ‘Oblivion’ features singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør, responsible for a string of album releases in Norway. It’s M83 to the core, drunk on the same moonshine as 2011’s widescreen Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming – click below to listen.

The Oblivion OST is due on April 9 on Back Lot Records. The flick will follow on April 19.
