Wu-Tang Clan announces pair of 20th anniversary gigs

The Wu heads to the UK to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Clash reports that the Shaolin legends will hit Manchester’s O2 Apollo on July 25 and London’s O2 Academy Brixton on July 26, with tickets for both shows on sale at 9am on Friday, April 12. No word yet on which members of the venerable crew will be on hand, but every Wu performance promises to be a memorable one.

Last month, Cappadonna said that “the recording has begun” on the long-rumored — and final — Wu-Tang album, which followed similar statements from Method Man and Raekwon.

Update: Nah Right points to this press release revelation: “Wu-Tang Clan are currently working on their upcoming album A Better Tomorrow, due for release in July 2013.” Way to bury the lede…
