Madlib gets ready to return as his helium-voiced rap alias.

Potholes In My Blog points to a post on Quasimoto’s Facebook page: “Now playing — Quasimoto “Yessir Whatever” LP test press”; Madlib has tweeted the same thing.

Various radio websites list a June 18 release date for Yessir Whatever, which would be Quasimoto’s first release since 2005’s Stone Throw release The Further Adventures of Lord Quas.

Watch the video for Lord Quas’ ‘Low Class Conspiracy’ below. As expected, Madlib (and Quasimoto) plays a role in Kutmah’s oral history of the L.A. beat scene. His latest collaboration with thug rapper Freddie Gibbs, Cocaine Piñata, is expected out this year.
