RVNG Intl have announced their second album of the year, courtesy of the brilliant Stellar OM Source.

RVNG Intl had an industrious 2012, dropping releases from Blondes, Julia Holter, Holly Herndon and Sensations Fix and wrapping up their long-running FRKWYS EP series. The first half of 2013, by contrast, has been comparatively cautious, with only Maxmillion Dunbar’s blissful House Of Woo sneaking onto the release schedules. That will change in June, when French acid acolyte Stellar OM Source (aka Christelle Gualdi) makes her label debut with a new album.

Joy One Mile is Gualdi’s first significant full-length release since 2010’s excellent primer Trilogy Select on Olde English Spelling Bee, and follows a 12″ EP on Rush Hour’s ever-inventive No ‘Label’ sister imprint in 2012. In keeping with Gualdi’s furious and intense live sets, each track on the album was recorded in a single take without overdubs. Creative input also comes from Kassem Mosse, who was given free rein to mix down and arrange the album in full.

Joy One Mile is due on June 10 on 2xLP, CD and digital. First single ‘Elite Excel’ is available to stream below, and will get a full release on May 14, supplemented by a remix from Mosse.

2. Par Amour
3. The Range
