Everybody dance now.

Barely a day goes by without some kind of news from Chic frontman Nile Rodgers. Recently most of the influential guitarist’s column inches have been generated thanks to his incredible collaborations with French electronic music masterminds Daft Punk, but this time he’s out on his own once more.

Ibiza’s International Music Summit (or IMS for short) is an annual electronic music forum which has been dubbed “the TED of music conferences”, and each year they have an artist or act create an anthem, and another remix it. This year’s anthem will be written by Nile Rodgers, and then rewired by Bristolian producer and DJ Eats Everything. Rodgers commented:

“I am so excited to be creating the IMS Anthem 2013. I had such an inspirational time at IMS last year and its opened up many new connections including collaborations with many contemporary electronic artists. I’ve created this new track with Ibiza and the electronic community in mind before handing over to one of my favourite remixers of today – Eats Everything. I can’t wait to hear what he does with it, and to hear it at Dalt Vila in Ibiza! Historic site for historic music productions.”

For those of you who want to hear the full extent of Rodgers’ collaborations with Daft Punk, you can stream Random Access Memories in its entirety right here.
