The Third Man mission continues in earnest.

Given Jack White‘s interests it’s hardly surprising to find that another slew of vinyl 7″ reissues is due on his boutique Third Man Records imprint. White has partnered with legendary Tennessee label Sun Records and has plans to reissue three records from the label’s sprawling catalogue.

First up is Johnny Cash‘s ‘Get Rhythm’ (which funnily enough is backed by ‘I Walk the Line’), then there’s ‘Bear Cat’ from Rufus Thomas and ‘Just Walking in the Rain’ from The Prisonaires. Each 7″ will be subject to some typically lavish treatment, and while they won’t be pressed on gold or platinum coated wax, they will appear on a gorgeous “sun ray vinyl” for early buyers and will be housed in sleeves that mimic the original Sun Records 78s. The slew of singles will start to become available on May 21 via Third Man Records.
