Listen to Quasimoto's 'Brothers Can't See Me'

Hear another unearthed track from the Madlib side project.

Pitchfork (via NPR) shares the latest leak from Yessir Whatever, the compilation of Quasimoto rarities that will see release on June 18 via Stones Throw.

‘Brothers Can’t See Me’ has that familiar Madlib boom-bap, and the producer alternates between his natural tenor and the helium-voiced Quasimoto on the track, which features a hook based around scratches of Diamond D’s ‘Best Kept Secret’. Stream it below.

Earlier this week, we shared an interview with Madlib where he talked about Madvillainy 2 and a host of other projects: some vintage electro on an “early Kraftwerk-type” tip; a series of “jazz records”; and production work on the forthcoming Mos Def album.
