Clinic, Dead Meadow and dozens more will tune in, turn on and drop out in Merseyside over two days this September.

The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia, which describes itself, no doubt quite accurately, as the UK’s largest celebration of psychedelic sub-culture, will feature a huge line-up of musicians alongside visual art, film and performance.

Topping the bill will be the Wooden Shjips spin-off project Moon Duo and another music-making couple, Peaking Lights, who present their Peaking Lights Sound System.

Cult weirdos and surgical mask-wearers Clinic will also appear along with a raft of bands and solo artists influenced by all strands of psychedelia, from LSD-soaked Syd Barrettisms to kosmische electronica and doomy psych-rock.

The festival takes place on 27 and 28 September at the Camp and Furnace and Blade Factory venues in Liverpool. Tickets are available here.

Earlier this year Peaking Lights released a digital-only refix of their most recent album, Lucifer, featuring contributions from John Talabot among others, which followed their own dub version of the record.
