Premiere: Brooklyn noise collage act Prism House remixes Adventure's 'Laser Blast'

One dancefloor experimenter remixes another.

Adventure is North Carolina-bred, Baltimore-based Benny Boeldt, a producer who uses 8-bit video game soundtracks as a jumping-off point for kinectic, dancefloor creations.

‘Laser Blast’, off this year’s Weird Work LP (out now on Carpark Records), is a rave-via-Sega Genesis. On the remix by Brooklyn’s Prism House, the original’s bass stomp becomes the engine of a re-imagining that is supersaturated with samples.

Prism House is the duo of Brian Wenner (music/live electronics) and Matt O’Hare (live visuals). If you like the remix, check out Prism House’s exhilarating, unforgiving ‘In A Cage’, which we premiered earlier this year.
