Here’s a mystery – how can a Norwegian who barely sees the sun for quarter of the year come up with a house jam as sweaty and sun-kissed as this?

‘Strandbar (disko)’ – which means beach bar – is the latest from disco star Todd Terje and very much in the vein of ‘Inspector Norse’ and ‘Lanzarote’, you’ll be pleased to hear. Packed with piano vamps and tropical percussion, it’s nearly nine whole minutes of fun.

The single comes with a ‘samba’ and ‘bonus’ version of the track, and it’s available now as a 12″ or digitally through Terje’s Olsen Records.
