We have a winner.

Back in March, FACT teamed up with Parklife Weekender, Soundcloud and Point Blank Music School to put together a competition for up-and-coming music producers to test their chops. Well it’s June now and the results are in, thanks to our crack team of judges (Eats Everything, Jackmaster, Heidi and North Base) who were left to decide the fate of the ten lucky finalists.

Congratulations are in order for Miss B, whose killer track ‘Don’t Stop’ took her to victory – that win bags her a SoundCloud Pro Unlimited account, a music production courses at Point Blank, page space on FACT, two VIP tickets to Parklife – with artist passes and access to the artist village included – and Parklife merchandise. Phew!

Eats Everything, Jackmaster and Heidi all plumped for ‘Don’t Stop’, with Eats Everything commenting that “all four finalists are of a very high standard production and musicality wise, and all four I would imagine have good days ahead of them in this messed up dance music world that we are buried deep within. I am gonna judge this purely on which track I like the best and would be most likely to play. For me the winner is Miss B -‘ Don’t Stop’. It’s a bit of a banger without being too obvious and the use of the ‘don’t’ from ‘Short Dick Man’ is clever as it is an over used sample but she has used it in an unconventional way. Big up for an excellent job and can you send me a copy please so I can play it.”

North Base however picked Spectrem’s glassy ‘Together’ and said “We at North Base have chosen SPECTREM’S “together” track! It was hard choosing from so many great entries, we spent a whole day listening to the tracsk people uploaded some real good producers out there! But this one caught our attention the most. Love the Style and flow he has used to create this gem of a track! Summer vibes and great vocals used well! We might even Sign the track to our label NEMESIS RECORDINGS it is that good! So Spectrem get in touch asap!”

You can hear both tracks below.
