Further developments in the Lil Snupe murder case.

Last week brought the horrible news that the Dream Chasers signing and Meek Mill protégé had been gunned down in Winnfield, Louisiana. The rapper’s body was discovered with two bullet wounds in an apartment in the early hours of June 20. He was 18.

As HipHopDX report, the principal suspect in the murder has now handed himself in to the authorities. Tony D. Holden, 36, turned himself in on Tuesday morning, and was subsequently remanded in custody.

Holden has a string of previous arrests to his name, including rape, drug, kidnapping and battery charges. Following this week’s arrest, he has been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and the illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remains in custody pending a bail ruling.

Winnfield police have previously suggested that the murder was the result of an argument over a video game. According to Lt. Charles Curry, “we are told they were betting on a video game. Supposedly [Holden] robbed [Snupe] of money.”
