More from the Bashmore.

To date, Julio Bashmore’s notched up two releases in 2013. First came the loping ‘Husk’ single, released on his Broadwalk imprint back in February. It was comprehensively trumped, however, by the Mirror Song EP, produced in collaboration with gruff Bristol type Kowton; on the title track in particular, the pair managed a neat balancing act between Bashmore’s big-room sensibilities and Kowton’s grimier impulses.

Bashmore’s latest has now hit the web. ‘Duccy’ is a tougher beast than ‘Husk’, at once darker and deeper than your ‘Au Seves’ or ‘Battle For Middle Yous’. Simple stuff for sure – and, it must be said, not anything that’s going to convert any doubters to the Broadwalk cause – but, as with most music that emerges from the House Of Bashmore, its likely to sate clubland’s current appetite for glossy, unfussy 4/4.

‘Duccy’ will get a full release later in the year. Bashmore has also announced a string of UK tour dates; see below for details.
