Premiere: Phaseone remixes baroque pop act San Fermin's 'Sonsick'

The Brooklyn-based baroque pop act prepares to tour North America.

San Fermin is helmed by Brooklyn composer and songwriter Ellis Ludwig-Leone. The project draws from post-rock, chamber-pop, and classical for an orchestral take on pop music. Lead single ‘Sonsick’ (video below) features the vocals of Lucius (aka Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe), which gives the sweeping song a hint of Dirty Projectors.

Brooklyn-via-St. Louis producer Phaseone has remixed the song, totally re-imagining it as a bit of spaced-out, navel-gazing mood music. Stream the remix below. Additionally, San Fermin — with eight-piece band in tow — will be touring North America this fall; those dates are below.
