See you at the crossroads.

Chicago newcomer Mick Jenkins has clearly got friends in the right places, and on new track ‘Crossroads’ we find the young rapper accompanied by the ascendent Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa. Chance is clearly going to be the main draw for a great deal of listeners, and ‘Crossroads’ certainly finds him exhibiting the same sort of lyrical dexterity as he did on his exemplary Acid Rap full-length, nasally (and sometimes nerdily) musing on Native Americans and Leprechauns.

His Windy City accomplices hardly slouch either each offering us a chance to hear their specific and unique flow, and over a dense half-time beat they shore up yet more evidence for Chicago’s dominance in rap right now. [via Fake Shore Drive]
