Old news.

Danny Brown has had a frustrating week. Pissed off that his long, long-awaited album OLD still hasn’t appeared on shelves, he threatened to leak it himself, prompting his record label to rearrange the release date to October.

But to keep expectant fans happy, the madcap Detroit MC has now released 12.12.08: The Danny Brown Movie, a near-hour-long film shot by Nic Notion back in 2008 and 2009 (pre-lawnmower haircut). As well as behind-the-scenes footage and the usual hedonistic antics, the feature includes clips of Brown performing with a live band, Detroit’s Gorilla Funk Mob. [via Gorilla vs Bear]

The most eager collaborator in hip-hop has been packing in the guest appearances lately too, of varying quality – check out his admittedly scene-stealing performance on the latest single by circus gangsters Insane Clown Posse and his spot on The Bug’s new EP Dirty.
