The Relentless Here To Be Heard competition is giving one aspiring DJ and one unsigned band the chance to perform at a big gig in London or at Leeds Festival this August.

The winning DJ will play a one hour opening set on the Relentless Stage at Leeds, sharing the Saturday night bill with Radio 1′s Zane Lowe, while the chosen band will play a thirty minute set at Relentless LIVE, a gig headlined by Professor Green, Zane Lowe and Pure Love. The winner was picked this week by a panel of Professor Green, Zane Lowe, FACT editor Tom Lea and more, and it is… Killer Tom. Here’s what he has to say:

‘I’m really happy the judges liked my mix, there are a lot of great DJs out there and to have my mix chosen as the winning set is fantastic. The mix was recorded the night before the deadline in a bit of a rush so I crammed in as much as possible into 10 minutes! I wanted to create something that was fun, varied and could rock a party. I included a cross-section of my favourite music that I play out on a weekly basis, a good blend of old and new. Hopefully I managed to portray a bit of personality through my song selection and make people dance!’

Congratulations to Killer Tom – enjoy Leeds. To read up on the competition, head here.
