Premiere: Rad Reef boss ZachG discovers a mountain of weed in 'Freeda Peeple's Anthem' video

The Bay Area artist shares the first cut from his forthcoming album.

If you spend enough time with underground rap, you’re bound to come across the name ZachG, whether he’s producing for Main Attrakionz or assembling massive posse cuts and left-field rap compilations.

Now, the San Francisco-via-South Florida polymath is focusing on his rap skills as he readies South.Florida.Mountains, an album that promises “true tales of life from the Everglades.” Lead cut ‘Freeda Peeple’s Anthem’ is a John-and-Yoko nodding tribute to self-determination fueled by Zach’s hazy beatcraft and “Broward country drawl.”

The video (directed by John Craven) opens with some friendly disses from the likes of cannabis king Mickey Martin, Anticon’s Jel, and rapper Western Tink before ZachG takes a magical journey through his Souther Florida home turf, dancing, rapping, and getting wet-and-wild during the song’s smoked out conclusion. Check out the song and video below.
