Deltron 3030 announces US tour featuring 16-piece orchestra

Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala will tour in support of their first album since 2000.

Deltron 3030’s Event II is due out on October 1 via Bulk Recordings. Before then, the alt-rap supergroup will hit the road for a series of festival and solo gigs. Additionally, a handful of dates will see the trio joined by a 16-piece orchestra simply called the 3030 Orchestra.

Event II has been described as a “rock opera, but using rap,” and features Damon Albarn, Mike Patton, Zach De La Rocha, Jamie Cullum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Cross, Amber Tamblyn, and David Chang. Earlier this month, FACT’s Laurent Fintoni sat down with Del for an extensive interview. [via Consequence of Sound]
