It’s been a strong week for album art by North American superstars.

Drake has revealed the childlike artwork for his forthcoming album Nothing Was The Same, and it’s a strong look for the Toronto rapper, who is seen in profile facing an infant Drake with a comb stuck into his afro. The enthusiastic airbrushing and Windows 95 clouds push the concept dangerously close to madness, but OVO just about pulls it off.

It’s unclear if these two images, designed by Kadir Nelson, are the front and back of the album or two separate sleeves.

Nothing Was The Same is now due to hit shelves on 24 September, having recently been pushed back a week, and features guest appearances from Jay Z and Hudson Mohawke plus a collaboration with Sampha. The first single, ‘All Me’, features 2 Chainz and Big Sean. Drake also appears on the new single from The Weeknd, titled ‘Live For’.

This marks provides the second batch of incredible artwork this week, following Prince’s must-see design for his new single, ‘Breakfast Can Wait’, involving Dave Chappelle and pancakes.
