Tensnake‘s new album will feature two appearances from Chic’s Nile Rodgers

Since reacquainting himself with the limelight following several appearances on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, Rodgers has been in high demand, collaborating with the likes of Chase & Status. In an interview with Data TransmissionGerman house and disco producer Tensnake reveals that he’s also been working with Rodgers, the pair collaborating twice on his forthcoming second album:

“The Nile collaboration was very organic, I just mailed him on Facebook. He replied about 10 minutes later, which I thought  was amazing, and not what I’d expected at all! We then met up for dinner at WMC and he was such a nice humble guy that we began making plans to work together. Both tracks we worked on are naturally very disco, I love it!”

The album will also feature appearances by Warp crooner Jamie Lidell and songwriter Stuart Price. You can check out Tensnake’s FACT mix over here, and read FACT’s piece on the Best Nile Rodgers Collaborations That You Never Knew Existed here.
