Rumours circulate about David Bowie's return to the stage; singer's representatives claim no live show is planned

Live Nation have reportedly tabled a multi-million pound offer for David Bowie to return to the stage.

Bowie, who released his first album in a decade The Next Day earlier this year, hasn’t performed live since 2006, but rumours of a return to the stage have been circulating since the album’s release (wonder if him and Daft Punk ever talk?). The Mirror today claims that Live Nation have bid big money for Bowie to play London’s Olympic Park next year, citing the company’s “close links with Bowie’s tour agent John Giddings”.

The newspaper goes on to claim that rivals AEG will also bid for Bowie to play Hyde Park. The official word from Bowie’s representatives, however, is the same as it was earlier this year: that no live show is planned.
