The Studio 54 icon casts a glittering eye over her legacy.

Grace Jones, who began the song ‘Art Groupie’ on 1981’s Nightclubbing with the line, “I’ll never write my memoirs”, has announced that she’s going to do just that.

The singer and model, who made a pretty spectacular musical comeback in 2008 with her tenth studio album Hurricane, has agreed a deal with Gallery Books.

Due out next autumn, the book is currently untitled. Andy Warhol, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nile Rodgers, Jerry Hall and Jessica Lange are all likely to have walk-on parts in the 65-year-old’s life story. [via Billboard]

Jones’ book announcement adds to a week of pop publishing news, after Morrissey’s long-awaited autobiography was shelved and then rescheduled at the last minute, and Faber announced the publication of lyrics and notebooks by the late Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis.
