The light-hearted funk of Prince’s ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ has now been set to a video, directed by Danielle Curiel. The over-sexed, dance-heavy clip is perfect for a song about staying in bed rather than starting the day, and while the Purple One doesn’t make an appearance, there is a female Prince impersonator (the director in drag).

Watch the video below. It’s cute, but it can’t match the absurdity of the single’s Dave Chappelle-featuring cover art. In other Prince news, one of the artist’s earliest known recordings is to be issued on vinyl for the first time by crate-digging label Numero Group.
